Find the Right Film When Names Look Alike | 1movie

Use the year, format and cast to separate first films, remakes and unrelated titles.

Start with the detail that changes the answer

“The first Avatar” means something different from “the first Last Airbender series”. A short movie name can point to several productions. Instead of repeating the same query, add the year or use the Movies and Series filter. Compare the synopsis before continuing.

Three useful comparisons

  • Spider-Man: the 2002 film, The Amazing Spider-Man from 2012 and Homecoming from 2017 begin different live-action sequences. The Spider-Verse films are animated productions.
  • Lilo & Stitch: the 2002 animated film and 2025 live-action adaptation have separate pages. The same applies to the 2010 and 2025 How to Train Your Dragon films.
  • Gold: the 2016 and 2018 films differ in cast, language and subject. The word alone does not identify the intended story.

Compare short-title films or open the originals and remakes collection. Save the exact page once you identify the production. That gives you a reliable way back without repeating the ambiguous part of the search.

When a number is not a sequel

In “1movie Avatar”, the number may be part of the website name. In “Avatar 1 movie”, it may identify the first film. Search Avatar, then use the resulting titles to decide. Do not assume the number is an episode or a release year.
